Tournament Opportunity

Hello families!
I just wanted to let you know of a tournament opportunity for your children if they would be interested in playing. It is being hosted by the Bush Tennis Center and is for any players in the area that are of junior high age. Students would not be participating in this tournament on behalf of St. Ann's School, rather just as an individual player. It is simply a good event to get your child some tournament experience if they'd like. I am attaching a copy of the entry form. If you are interested in playing, please be sure to take this form with your entry fee to the Bush Tennis Center. See you all on Tuesday!

Change in Dual Match. Practice Thursday!

Hey Families and Players!
Due to a few players unable to attend the Dual Match this Thursday, we will have a regular practice that day and have our Team Dual on Tuesday, April 19th. This will also allow us one extra practice day to practice and review scoring procedures. See you all on Thursday!

Team Dual Rescheduled

Due to the weather, our Team Dual will be postponed until Thursday, April 14th from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. Look forward to seeing you all there!

Possible Inclement Weather

Hello Parents!
Tomorrow's weather is predicting a nice, cool day, with a very slight chance of rain. If in the event it rains before our dual and the courts are not dry enough to play our matches, I will send out a text and email informing of any cancellation. If this occurs, we will have our Team Dual on Thursday (the 14th). As of now, the weather is not predicting a heavy chance so I am optimistic that we will enjoy a pleasant, cool afternoon of tennis. Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! Parents, you are more than welcome to come watch your child play between 4:00 - 5:30. Thanks again!

Tennis T-Shirt: April 12th

Players:
You may wear your tennis t-shirt to school on the day of our Team Dual: April 12th! Be sure to wear your shirt with your uniform bottoms to school. See you all on Tuesday!

Dual Match: April 26th

Hello everyone!
We will have a dual match with the San Jacinto Junior High Mustangs on Tuesday, April 26th at 5:00 at the Bush Tennis Center. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are able to play on that day so we can make arrangements for the match. The dual will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., but please be at the courts no later than 4:40 p.m. You will get the opportunity to get in a lot of match experience on this day! Players will get to participate in singles and doubles. Parents are encouraged to come spectate.

As a reminder, you must be academically eligible to play, so please make sure you are keeping up with all work. All players need to wear their St. Ann's Tennis Shirts for this match. You are also invited to wear them to school on that day with your St. Ann's uniform bottoms.

Thursday Practice (April 7th)/Team Dual

Hello everyone! Looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday! The director of the Bush Tennis Center has informed me that Thursday, April 7th, is the date that the District Tennis Tournament will be taking place. This is the tournament that all high school varsity players in our district participate in to determine their eligibility regional and/state tournaments. While we can not have practice this day as they are utilizing all courts for this large tournament, the public is welcome to go and watch the tournament play. If you are able, this is a great tournament to watch how players compete at a varsity level. You may even see some of our alumni playing! :) Feel free to go out and watch on Thursday, otherwise we will reconvene on April 12th for our team dual. Please refer to the Matches section for more information on the time and attire. Also, please utilize the Resources section to continue our work with the court boundaries and keeping score.
