Tennis Clinic: May 12th

Hello Players! The Bush Tennis Center Staff and the UTPB Tennis Team are hosting a clinic for us on May 12th from 4-5. As this date falls right before 8th Grade finals, it will be optional. If you are attending, please wear your white tennis team shirt and meet that the front of the facility. We are looking forward to working with such knowledgeable and talented players!

Last Two Practices this Week. Orchestra Concert

Hello Players!
Our last two practices will take place this week. We will meet today, May 3rd and Thursday, May 5th. I realize today is the Orchestra Concerts. Today's practice will not be mandatory as we just finished our last tennis match for the season, so if any players need to miss or leave early to prepare for the concert, feel free to do so. Other than that, I can't wait to see you all at practice! Have a great week Saints and good luck to all those performing tonight!

Great Job!

We had a great match with St. Mary's on Thursday! Both teams were respectful, courteous, and helpful towards each other. We will have final numbers on scores soon, however the real victory speaks to all the players' wonderful attitudes on the court. Be sure to check the "Photos" section for pictures from Thursday's dual. See you all Tuesday!

MHS Sports Banquet

I had to pleasure of attending the Midland High School Tennis Banquet on Thursday night. I was able to see many of our former St. Ann's Alumni honored at the banquet both on achievement and effort. Mr. Travis Andrews and Ms. Sofia Salcedo were a part of Midland High's District 6-A Varsity Team this season and Sophia was awarded many district honors in both fall team tennis and individual spring tennis. Ms. Katherine Klaussen was named Most Outstanding Junior Varsity Player and Ms. Shannon Hickey was named Most Outstanding Freshman. I couldn't be more proud of these players and am so excited to continue seeing St. Ann's Alumni doing great things at their high schools.

Match Thursday

The crazy weather sadly had to cut our match short yesterday. We were able to try and get on our first round, but the wind proved to be much too difficult to play in. Thanks for all who came out to watch! Hopefully our match against St. Mary's tomorrow will provide much better weather. Our 6th graders are off having a blast at Prude Ranch, so tomorrow our 7th and 8th graders will take on the St. Mary's Knights from 4:00 - 5:30. Please meet at the Bush Tennis Center immediately after school so that we may begin promptly at 4:00. Please wear your white team shirt and come prepared with your racquets. Students may also wear their team shirt to school tomorrow!
